ETC Regional Event at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee
November 5-6, 2025

The ETC Regional Event at UW-Milwaukee was a great day of collaboration amongst a diverse group. Attendees from several nearby universities and colleges included Lawrence University, St Olaf College, MSOE, Northwestern, numerous Universities of Wisconsin campuses as well as a variety of representatives from the AVI/IT industry. The theme for the event was "Accessibility" which informed the content for presentations and discussions around this topic. Of note was a live captioning demo from UW-Madison to showcase their solution to provide this service to students during classes. Additionally, sponsor sessions included demonstrations of the importance of high quality audio transmission, accessible furniture features, and other related topics. A special thanks to all of our event sponsors including Extron, Intelligent Video Solutions, Legrand AV, Shure, and Spectrum Furniture that provided presentations for the event. Additional thanks to the sponsors of the evening activities including Camera Corner Connecting Point/Intelligent Video Solutions on Wednesday evening and Forte/Crestron/Sony for the Thursday networking dinner.

2025 ETC Annual Conference Recap

The ETC Annual Conference wrapped up on Friday after an energizing week of learning, collaboration, and connection. Higher-ed technology professionals from across the country came together to share ideas, explore emerging trends, and see innovation in action. Hosted by North Carolina State University in Raleigh, the event featured hands-on workshops, campus tours of NC State’s cutting-edge learning spaces, and sessions on AI in education, inclusive classroom design, and faculty engagement. One attendee captured the spirit of the week perfectly, saying, “The annual Educational Technology Collaborative conference is truly one of the most engaged, informative, and inclusive events of the year.”
Beyond the sessions, the conference offered plenty of opportunities to connect and celebrate. From the welcome reception to the Recognition Dinner, attendees enjoyed meaningful conversations and built lasting relationships with peers, sponsors, and exhibitors. As one post on LinkedIn noted, “It’s not just a conference — it’s a community that supports, challenges, and celebrates each other.” Whether participants were attending for the first time or returning for another year, this year’s ETC Annual Conference left everyone inspired and looking forward to what’s next.

What an amazing day at the ETC Regional Event at South Texas College! We hosted an inspiring and engaging ETC Regional Event where educational technology leaders and innovators gathered to explore the future of teaching and learning. The event featured a dynamic lineup of presentations, ranging from tech-enhanced teaching strategies to immersive AV experiences and a tour of our innovative spaces. It was filled with inspiration and collaboration. Regional Event at Auburn University 
Thursday, May 29, 2025 

We had a great panel session to discuss the design and build of the "Engaged Active Student Learning" (EASL) capabilities of the room/s that we were using for the conference. This was followed by a group open forum. We discussed what people would like to get back from being a member of ETC. 
The six vendors gave nice presentations and rundowns on their products. Attendees were then able to visit one on one with the vendors in a separate room. We finished up the day with a presentation of several owls, hawks, and an eagle, that were brought in by the Auburn University Raptor Center.

The Educational Technology Collaborative (ETC) held a highly successful regional event at RIT on May 29, 2025, bringing together over 40 attendees from 18 organizations. Focused on "Exploring how AV-over-IP technology can enhance active learning environments," the event sparked dynamic discussions, fostered valuable connections, and shared innovative solutions to advance educational technology for the future of higher learning.

ETC Regional Event at UW-Eau Claire
November 7-8, 2024 

We had 48 attendees at the ETC Regional Event at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire campus. This event was partnered with the Universities of Wisconsin Educational Media Technology Council (EMTC) and focused on AV in higher education. This event included panel discussions, presentations, a campus tour, and opportunities to network with AV/IT industry and higher education peers from the area. The EMTC group did a roundtable of various campus projects and there was a demo from the UW-Madison group on live captioning.
